Wi Fi

Well I am sitting in another airport, this time in Cincinnati OH. I guess as a person living in the United States we often take things for granted just because of the consumeristic society we live in. Sitting here in the airport I am able to get online by purchasing a 24 hour pass via a localized service provider. Yet my first thought was why was this service not offered free of charge.

The saying goes there is no free lunch, a true statement as at the end of the day someone paid for it in some form or fashion. So why have we got so used to expecting the free lunch? What is it that prompts us to create this artificial sense of endowment?

As Mark Twain put it... "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first."
